The SAFARI VOICES INTERNATIONAL is one of Kenya’s leading Music Group that consists of 20 singers. The choir was founded in 2008 by the Founder/Director Mr. Kenneth Kivunaga with an objective of Entertainment, Disseminating messages /Information of National Values and Kenya’s rich culture.

OUR MISSION

To establish and maintain a Tradition of Choral excellence in Kenya and beyond while marketing our country as one of the most preferred Tourist destination worldwide.

Over the years the Choir has travelled extensively as Music Cultural Ambassadors to other countries promoting Kenya’s rich cultural music and heritage.

In the year 2012, the Group was crowned the best Choir in Kenya having won the first ever Kenya’s Reality Show ‘THE KWAYA’ Competition sponsored by SAFARICOM whereby they received a top price of Kshs.1 million. The Kenya business daily had this to say about the choir: ‘The choir competition had been electric as the whole nation was enthralled with Kenya’s first choral reality show. The winners after much blood sweat and tears were the 20 member choir SAFARI VOICES INTERNATIONAL.

In 2014 the choir participated in the Africa federation for choral Music festival held in Burundi. The Choir also made a successful tour of the United States of America in 2015 and was able to perform at the famous Disney land in Los Angeles California, New York, Las Vegas and Denver Colorado.

In 2019 the choir once again visited the United States of America for a series of concerts in New York, Detroit and Washington DC.

 The Group has a rich repertoire of African traditional and contemporary music spanning through the golden oldies to contemporary period. Its unique sound fused with the accompanying dance styles gives the group the true African feel that is simply electrifying. ‘The proof of the pudding is in the eating’ one has to listen to the choir on stage to realize its unique sound.
